The Brief
Toyota partnered with Playground Studios to document a multi-city artist campaign celebrating three world-renowned muralists—each commissioned to create original work that would ultimately be wrapped onto the Toyota bZ4X and showcased during Art Basel Miami Beach. Focusing on Blayne Fontana in Portland, the shoot centered on capturing both the artist and the process—highlighting his vision, creative philosophy, and the evolution of the mural from concept to final execution.
The goal was to create a focused, story-driven set of assets that: - Showcase the intersection of art, mobility, and culture - Capture the artist’s process in an authentic, documentary-style way - Provide compelling, social-first content leading into Art Basel
Ultimately, the objective is to position Toyota not just as a vehicle brand, but as a platform for creative expression—where art moves beyond the wall and into the world.
